My story
Ten years ago, my design adventure kicked off when I moved to the States after getting married. At first, everything was new and exciting, but as time went on, life started feeling a bit dull. With an engineering background and the restrictions of an H4 visa during the 2008 recession, finding work in my field was tough.
In search of meaning, I turned to my childhood love of drawing and painting. After creating a bunch of artworks, I decided to share them at local markets. One day, during an exhibit, I met someone who suggested I explore digital design, like graphic design. That night, I Googled it and was blown away by what people were doing with Adobe software.
Feeling inspired, I enrolled in the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, starting a journey into the world of design. I took on internships with photographers, artists, and design agencies, one leading to another. Now, after ten years, I've worked with all sorts of clients, from startups like Wanderu, LookOut to big tech companies like Apple, Tinder, OkCupid and small businesses.
Looking back, this journey isn't just about a profession — it's a testament to the resilience that arises when you follow your heart. Today, I'm not just a designer; I'm a storyteller, an artist of my own destiny, turning life's canvas into a vivid and inspiring masterpiece. And the best part? The journey is far from over; there are still blank pages waiting to be filled with the colors of new experiences and exciting opportunities.
